Bordentown News Links
The "Bordentown Palladium" was founded in 1845 as a weekly community paper serving the Bordentown region of Burlington County, New Jersey, an area six miles south of Trenton. The newspaper was renamed "Bordentown Register" in 1851 and renamed again in 1966 as "Register-News". Over its 157 years of publication, the newspaper has chronicled the history of the Bordentown region, including local news for surrounding towns (Fieldsboro, Florence, Roebling, Columbus, Chesterfield, and Mansfield), marriages and death notices, legislative news, judicial announcements, and business and social concerns of the area and region, including news of hometown soldiers in the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Wars.
The "Bordentown Register" and "Register-News" are available on microfilm from December 25, 1855 to June 26, 2002 (a complete run of current issues beginning with February 2002 is available at Bordentown Branch). The microfilm is owned by the Burlington County Library Headquarters in Westampton, NJ, the Bordentown Branch Library in Bordentown, NJ, and the Burlington County College Library in Pemberton, NJ. Research and photocopies will be done upon request for a fee. Please contact library@bcc.edu or reference@bcls.lib.nj.us for further information.
Bordentown is a great place to live!
